DYNAMIC 3i's free format text facility lets you enter detailed product descriptions, such as engineering specifications, that could be put on a purchase order. You can enter product information by line or by group. DYNAMIC 3i has the ability to print catalogues and price books listing for customers. The product image can be scanned and stored.
DYNAMIC 3i offers great flexibility in inventory quantity calculation. It calculates economical order quantities and re-order points automatically. For maximum versatility, the system offers three kinds of unit of measure descriptions:

Inventory Control also has variable costing methods-average cost, standard cost, last cost. These allow you to control product costing at the product or warehouse level. You may also establish a costing master record for imported products that lets you maintain packaging data, and track exchange rates and importation costs. This helps you to determine landed costs. For cost changes Inventory Control has an effective date mechanism.
To reduce the incidence of lost inventory DYNAMIC 3i monitors inter-warehouse transfers, adjustments and individual receipts. Date and time stamping for inventory movement ensures that reconciliation is accurate and reasons for stock adjustments can be recorded automatically. When you move inventory, DYNAMIC 3i does the paper ork, generating the required shipping and receiving slips.
DYNAMIC 3i's extensive stock control capabilities allow stock-taking by tag or cycle count. Inventory Control simplifies the physical stock control process by generating inventory lists and tags automatically. Date and time stamping allow for stock-taking without disrupting your operations. DYNAMIC 3i handles discrepancies by roducing a physical inventory deviation report regarding transactions occurring immediately before or after stock taking. You can post these deviation to the General Ledger using one of an unlimited user-defined reason codes. The system facilities an "A B C" accounting cycle for daily inventory updates and its random audit feature lets you perform spot checks.
