A Consistent Requirements Game Plan

From Requirements Planning you can do regenerative and net change calculations, produce suggested order schedules, and calculate the rate at which labour is consumed. DYNAMIC 3i lets you evaluate both labour and materials separately or together. This module provides full pegging for requirements.

Scheduling

To arrive at a suggested production schedule the system evaluates labour and material requirements in light of available quantities of stock, Should on- hand stock be depleted, anticipated shipments are scheduled to meet outstanding material requirements.

For such purposes the system defines safety stock and allocations as reduction in available inventory. When deficits occur, a planned work order is generated. In DYNAMIC 3i you can control lot sizing for orders using six criteria:

• lot for lot
• least cost
• maximum order quantity
• fixed lot quantity
• maximum order value
• maximum (number of days specified)

Production Inquiry

The Requirements Planning module gives you access to the following information:

• sales forecasts
• demand quantities
• demand by date
• scheduled receipts
• planned work orders
• available stock for promised orders

Requirements Reporting

With DYNAMIC 3i's reporting features you can view material requirements over an unlimited period. A requirements report would contain:

• data for pegged orders
• work order summary of production requirements organized by product or date
• labour requirements summary organized by cost centre or product

Material Plan Simulation

By employing the module's simulation features you can create and update a material procurement and allocation plan, before executing it. DYNAMIC 3i can simulate net changes and regenerative changes. It looks at bills of material and figures out gross requirements, gross to net, and examines existing inventory in relation to standing orders. When you have decided on a materials plan you can process your requirements through work or purchase orders.
