The program is used to generate the Physical Inventory Checklist and the corresponding physical inventory tag records or to generate the Physical Inventory Cycle Count Sheet. If the physical inventory checklist is selected, by checking the create tags check box, the program will create a physical inventory tag records based on the product group range, product range, abc code range, bin range and warehouse number entered by the user. The record created is a preliminary record with no counts quantities. User can then go to the Physical Inventory Tag Entry (IN4200) program to retrieve the records and enter the physical counts. If physical inventory records within range entered exist and have counts on it, the program will not be able to continue and it will give the following message 'Unupdated counted tags exist for this range'. These physical inventory tag records have to be updated first before running this program. If the cycle count sheet is selected, by un-checking the create tags check box, the program will just generate the cycle count sheet report but no physical inventory tag records will get created. The count can be entered in the Physical Inventory Tag Entry (IN4200) and unlike the Physical Inventory Checklist By Product Group all information will have to be manually entered. By selecting to process only serial controlled products, a physical inventory checklist for serial controlled product can be generated. Tags cannot be created for serial controlled products, as the physical inventory process for serial controlled products does not follow the normal physical inventory process. Instead of entering a tag count, an inventory adjustment is made to adjust the on hand. Please see Stock Maintenance (IN0200) Physical Flag field help on steps to do a physical inventory on serial controlled products.
The Physical Inventory Checklist report will print the following information in the report: tag number, actual assigned bin location or default bin (Stock Master (IN0200), depending on Checklist/Count Sheet by Default Bin selection), product group, product code, product description, abc code and the actual count column (this is the space where the actual count will be written) and a space for comments, for each stock item to be counted. The Physical Inventory Cycle Count Sheet will print the following information in the report: product group number, bin location/default bin(depending on Checklist/Count Sheet by Default Bin selection), product code, product description, lot number and actual count (this is the space where the actual count will be written).
Enter the beginning product group code.
Enter the ending product group code.
Enter the beginning product code.
Enter the ending product code.
Enter the beginning ABC code that will be included for processing. Only products with ABC code that falls within the beginning and ending ABC code range will be included for processing. The ABC code is in the Stock File Maintenance (IN0200).
Enter the ending ABC code that will be included for processing. Only products with ABC code that falls within the beginning and ending ABC code range will be included for processing. The ABC code is in the Stock File Maintenance (IN0200).
If the ‘Checklist / Count Sheet by
Default Bin’ is selected/checked:
NOTE: This
Bin range can be used to process
products with certain default bin locations as defined on the Stock
Master Maintenance (IN0200). The
program will select and process product with a default bin that falls within
the beginning and ending range entered.
Example:
ProdA is
bin controlled and has a defined Stock Master Default Bin of A1
It also
has Bins: B1, C2, D3 in inventory
Utilizing the Bin range from bin A1 to A1 will have the application select and process ProdA AND ALL bins (B1, C2 , D3) for the product since the default bin of A1 is the controlling selection of the products to process.
Enter the Beginning Bin Location.
Enter the Ending Bin Location.
Enter the beginning warehouse code.
Enter the ending warehouse code.
This check box selection works in conjunction with the bin location range. If this check box is checked then the beginning and ending bin location range will be applied on the product’s default bin as defined on the Stock Master (IN0200) thereby only products with a default bin that falls within the bin location range provided will be included in the checklist or cycle count sheet and tags will only be created for these products (if create tags is selected). The checklist or cycle count sheet will also be sorted in product default bin sequence if selection made on the sort by selection is bin location. If this check box is NOT checked then the beginning and ending bin location range will be applied on the products actual bin locations thereby only product bins that fall within the bin location range provided will be included in the checklist or cycle count sheet and tags will only be created for these bins (if create tags is selected). The checklist or cycle count sheet will also be sorted in bin sequence if selection made on the sort by selection is bin location.
For Standard Physical Inventory processing of ALL products, leave ‘Checklist / Count Sheet by Default Bin’ un-checked and the defaulted values of the beginning bin location and ending bin location as ‘0’ and ‘zzzzzzz’.
If you intend to run this report for Serial Controlled Products check this box. If this option is selected the Exclude Zero On Hand check box will automatically be checked and will not be accessible because the check list will only include serial controlled products with current on hand. The Create Tags selection will also become inaccessible if this selection is selected as serial control products does not go through the normal physical inventory process requiring tags, instead it is done through an adjustment. Please see Stock Maintenance (IN0200) Physical Flag field help on steps to do a physical inventory on serial controlled products.
Check to exclude products with no current on hand and uncheck to include product with zero on hand. This selection becomes inaccessible depending on selection made on Serial Controlled Product. See Serial Controlled Product field help for more information.
Check to get the program to automatically create tags in addition to generating the checklist for the physical inventory count. Uncheck the check box to generate only a cycle count sheet report. This selection becomes inaccessible depending on selection made on Serial Controlled Product. See Serial Controlled Product field help for more information.
Select the order to which the cycle count sheet or checklist are to be printed.
