Together these new additions from SDC will provide one of the most advanced, and cost effective Workforce Management solutions available on the market today.

DYNAMIC 3i Workforce Management and Scheduling encompasses a wide variety of workforce management functionalities including Human Resource Management, Schedule Management, Shift Exchange Management, a real-time Supervisor’s Console, Sick Leave Management, Time and Attendance, Payroll and more. The solution uses a combination of web-enabled applications, biometrics and card readers, and Interactive Voice Response applications to empower your workforce and greatly reduce the overall cost of human resource management.

DYNAMIC 3i Workforce Management is deployed on Oracle’s market leading Enterprise database solution Oracle 10g, assuring you the highest standards in performance, availability and reliability.


 

Solution Overview

DYNAMIC 3i Workforce Management is made up of several distinct but integrated DYNAMIC 3i components including: SDC’s Human Resources Module, Payroll Module, Time and Attendance Module, Scheduling plus a variety of Biometric, Web and IVR based self-service applications. Together they form a completely integrated high-efficiency Workforce Management solution with a broad scope of practical tools and applications to help boost productivity and lower related management expenses. The following section describes the functionality contained within each component of the solution.


 

Human Resources Management

People, more specifically employees, are considered to be a key resource in every organization. It has been proven many times that employee's innovations and devotions to the company are crucial in keeping up with competition and achieving success. Employee morale, therefore, becomes an important goal for management. The Human Resources software helps to achieve this goal by providing accurate information about human resources from the organizational database. Human Resources Departments and Personnel Departments, are usually overloaded with papers like employment applications, applicant correspondence, records on employee's performance, documentation from company training, etc. It can be difficult for the management to extract from this wealth of information; just what is needed to make a decision.

The DYNAMIC 3i Human Resources Management solution stores all the key data from the department enabling HR managers to quickly access and analyze information. For example, a comparison of one employee's attendance records with others. The solution allows for real-time comparisons in the form of online inquiry screens and reports. DYNAMIC 3i Workforce Management breaks down the task of organizing human resources data into four areas: Recruitment, Education & Training, Performance & Evaluation, and Workforce Relations.


 

Time and Attendance

The Time and Attendance module takes all time capture devices and management of those devices into account. Your organization can save over 50% over traditional means of collecting worker data. All worker rules for pay, time worked, seniority and union rules if necessary can be loaded into the system. Your company’s pay rules and regulations are enforced through the software in an unbiased and organized manner and stored securely in the market leading Oracle database. You can eliminate paper based, or data entry based methods creating a huge ROI that SDC would be pleased to show you first hand. The system provides accurate time stamped workforce reports which can be performed on demand over the web from a secure thin client. This allows management to make the right decisions when the company needs to grow or cut costs, while boosting or maintaining productivity.

The DYNAMIC 3i WorkforceIVR is a telecom system where a local number or toll free number can be created for your workers to punch in and out of work, call in sick, get their vacation balance, and call in for doctors leave or bereavement. A pin # or voice print biometric password can be used for verification. Prices vary from hosted solutions to turnkey solutions but normally start at a few thousand dollars to more for redundant secure Enterprise solutions. The ROI is easily found by saving supervisor’s time so they can supervise and by saving HR time to take in worker data and do database entry. The DYNAMIC 3i WorkforceIVR solution will all be based on the company’s rules as well based on the allowable balance for each worker. Managers can then be notified by email, SMS message to a PDA, and/or phone call to replace the worker. The system can take in the customers caller line ID when the worker calls in and log this data into the system. This can be checked with the database to make sure they are calling in from the right location. Also if not this can be immediately reported to the supervisor.


 

Scheduling

DYNAMIC 3i Workforce Management features a web based graphical Employee Scheduling tool that is both powerful and easy to use. The Employee Scheduling screen allows supervisors to re-assign shifts at the click of a mouse while the system ensures that job prerequisites are upheld.

The SDC IVRWorkforce-Scheduling is a telecom system where a local number or toll free number can be created for your workers to check their schedule for the day, week, month etc. Workers can also check to see if a vacation has been approved, or they can post a vacation request. Schedule swapping is also available on the system where the worker can numerically post a shift trade using DTMF or voice. Also a worker can pick up an available shift, and call into the system to work extra if they want to earn more. The scheduling also takes into account the company and union’s work rules where applicable such as worker skill set, seniority, amount of hours worked in a 24 HR period etc. ROI can be found in the time and energy saved by HR to find replacement workers and fill vacant shifts. Also many large companies do not even find out that a worker has not been adequately replaced until half way through the day or after the lost workday, this decreases overall productivity from the company.

As with the Time and Attendance module the IVR can be touch-tone or voice, hosted by SDC, or bought as a turnkey system. Prices vary from hosted to turnkey based on a few thousand dollars to more for an Enterprise redundant solution. A PIN# or voice print biometric password can be used for verification to allow them into the system. This will all be based on the company’s rules and regulations. Managers can then be notified by email, SMS message to a pda, and/or phone call to and schedule changes or shifts, and approve or veto where necessary. The system can take in the customers caller line ID when the worker calls in and log this data into the system. All this call data can be made into customized reports for management.

The system also features an IVR based shift exchange application whereby a worker calls into system to post a shift trade and if it is allowable the system will allow them to post. A manager can then be notified via email or sms, if another worker has requested to work a shift, and their skill set and work rules allow it then it can be automatically traded. Otherwise the system can email or call other workers to work that shift if they fall into that skill set, have the correct seniority and union and company rules. The system can actually prove using call detail reports (CDR) that the senior employees were given the chance first to work that available shift. Again all the company and union’s rules can be accommodated by the database.

Once the shift has been approved the manager can be notified by email, outbound automated call, or sms text msg to a cell phone, again prices vary depending on the deployment options.
